Brigham’s Family
The piano is such a perfect place to wrap your arms around a loved one and enjoy the magic of music. When Brigham and Abby played the final duet for Abby’s recent solo recital, Brig’s mom commented, “I don’t know if that is music wrapped in love or love wrapped in music… but either way it’s beautiful!” We hope your Valentine’s Day is wrapped in music and filled with love.
Here is the video of Abby and Brigham’s recent duet.
Happy Valentine’s Day from Brigham & Karmel Larson, Brigham’s Piano Shop
PS-Our first date was partially spent side by side on a piano bench. How could I not have married him when I heard how well he played. Happy Valentine’s Day!

We would like to thank everyone who joined us on Saturday for our grand opening and ribbon cutting. It was great to spend hours and hours hosting friends, family and clients as we celebrated the official opening of our new warehouse! Here are some photos…

The only thing to do with a yellow piano is to give it to kids!
So that’s exactly what we did with this one that we affectionately call the “Banana Piana”. After Brigham took it through the checklist process, he donated it to our son, Thayne’s, kindergarten classroom at Quail Run Primary School. They were thrilled to receive a piano and we were thrilled that the “Banana Piana” had a happy home somewhere other than our “Featured Pianos” page.

So this is us having a little “too much fun” at the National Convention this summer. One of the women in the national office, suggested that we make Joshie his own name tag since he was such a little mascot of the convention. As she got to printing it, she had options such as “affiliate member”, “spouse”, “RPT” (Registered Piano Technician), “vendor”, etc. She laughed and said that he didn’t fit any of them but that she thought that “WEE-PT” was closest to “RPT” like his dad and so she would put that on his name tag. So for the rest of the convention, Joshua entertained everyone and solicited quite a few comments with his “WeePT” name tag.
Here’s a video of him getting his “first tuning hammer” in the vendor hall. He was a good traveling companion!!

I captured this little moment when Brigham had the Sojin Grand taken apart for cleaning. Brig Jr. is his CONSTANT shadow and cries each day when dad has to go “workin’ -tunin’”. The little guy is in daddy heaven when working at home is on the schedule. Briggy Jr. is standing in the key bed where the keys had been removed for servicing this piano. He had his own cloth and q-tips just like dad and was “helpin’”! So if you snatch up this deal of a grand at only $3490, know that you got a two for one deal when it came to workers pouring over this piano’s every detail to bring it it’s maximum playing ability! Call me to come have a look at it… Karmel, 801.427.9293.

Today is our 10 year anniversary!
We had so much fun together, “on vacation”, at the national Piano Technicians Guild Convention in Vegas. Here we are at the convention with our little helper, Joshua. He was the attention grabber everywhere we went!
There is a special bond between husband and wife who are also business partners. Luckily, for us, we can’t get enough of each other and love to talk business as much as all other topics. I envision us doing shop work together well into our 80′s listening to great audio books.
I captured the above photo while following Brigham to help him deliver this piano that we sold a few weeks ago. He’s so romantic when he asks if I want to go on “a date” with him to deliver a piano. Though I love our piano dates, he takes me on great regular nights out as well.
The title of this post is framed and sits on the desk in our office. It comes from the Proclamation on the Family and holds special meaning for us.
Happy anniversary Brigham! I am looking forward to the dawn of a new decade with you!

We have been so grateful to have Cheryl Norman, of American Fork, teach our children piano. As a piano tuner, Brigham has the opportunity to meet and visit with many musicians and music teachers. After years and years of tuning Cheryl’s piano, he selected her to teach our children. Her devotion to music and teaching is exceptional! Thank you Cheryl for whatever it is you do at lessons that makes our children happy to return to your home each week and quickly progressing through their levels.
