3 year old conducting Beethoven’s 5th Symphony

Our piano teacher, Cheryl Norman, just sent us the following video with these suggestions/assignments for our 3 kids in lessons:

Listen to Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, then attend a symphony
concert.    We will all do some conducting in Masterclasses in the coming months!

I love how she incorporates so much into her piano teaching to be well balanced and inclusive of all aspects of music.  This video is worth watching to the end.  It’s amazing…

Piano Explorer

This is a great magazine to subscribe to if you have children in piano lessons.  Many teachers include this magazine as part of the cost of piano lessons.  It costs $10 for 10 issues throughout the year and is well worth it!  It includes great articles on composers, musical history, children around the world and their ideas on music, practicing, etc.  Our kids get excited each month to receive their next copy from Mrs. Norman, our awesome piano teacher!

You can use the link below to get your own copy if it interests you!

Great Piano Teachers Demand Great Tuners!

We have been so grateful to have Cheryl Norman, of American Fork, teach our children piano.   As a piano tuner, Brigham has the opportunity to meet and visit with many musicians and music teachers.  After years and years of tuning Cheryl’s piano, he selected her to teach our children.  Her devotion to music and teaching is exceptional!  Thank you Cheryl for whatever it is you do at lessons that makes our children happy to return to your home each week and quickly progressing through their levels.
