We Recommend John Sampson For Players

We don’t claim to be the best expert in every area of piano technology… one of those areas is player pianos! If you have an old player that needs some work, may we recommend our colleague John Sampson, (801) 347-7930. We had him come to our shop recently to take care of the player part on a piano that we fully refurbished. Brigham took care of his expertise and John took care of the player. It was delivered back to the customer just in time for a great reaction at her surprise birthday party!

Here’s a video of John at work in our shop. Enjoy the music…

Prepping the Hailun Grand

(In the photos above, Brigham has removed a Hailun Grand Action from a brand new piano to make regulation and voicing adjustments in addition to the initial tuning.)

Brand new pianos tend to require a significant amount of precision preparation to meet each musicians standards.  Brigham spends all the time necessary on each grand piano to not only tune it to perfection, but to also address tone, regulation, and touch.  Brigham always goes through a complete regulation of the piano, as well as voicing, to match each customers personal preference.  He welcomes all clients to come and play our pianos, but he gets especially excited when a very “picky” or “particular” musician arrives and starts trying the pianos.  His technical expertise further set his pianos apart from a traditional piano sales floor. Your fingers and ears will notice a unique difference.

Fellow Technician Plays a Hailun at Guild Meeting in our Shop

For many local piano technicians, coming to our piano shop for a recent Guild Meeting of the Utah Valley Chapter Piano Technicians, was their first time trying out the Hailun Brand. Not surprisingly, they received rave reviews and were used as demo pianos for that night’s technical training. Brigham is the only Hailun Dealer in UT and we encourage you to do your own research on-line to see what people are raving about! Then come to our shop to try one yourself!

Some Music From Our NAMM Trip

We loved attending NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants Convention in Anaheim, CA) recently and captured these videos to share with our viewers.  We went to NAMM seeking the latest and greatest in the piano world of music, but with nearly 100,000 musicians, suppliers and vendors in attendance, we got much more that we anticipated!  The entertainment was constant and varied!  Here are two very different samples we enjoyed, a Sunday morning gospel choir and a smokey rock concert.
