Piano for sale–used in Hillary Weeks video!!

(Sorry–this piano sold so fast… it’s already gone)

Several months back, a good friend of ours contacted Brigham to see if he’d loan a piano for a video they were making. Sure! So they came to the piano shop and Brigham told them to take any piano. They looked around for awhile and ultimately decided on this little spinet. We were surprised at first that they passed up so many other pianos, yet when we saw how it came together in the video we could appreciate their talented selection.

It’s taken awhile to get to refurbishing this piano with all of the other shop projects, but it’s finally done and ready to find a home. Brigham did a great job refurbishing it and I think you’ll be pleased with its condition and sound.

So enjoy these two videos; Hillary Weeks inspiring with her new song and envious voice and Brigham highlighting the piano she “played” on in the video.  Leave us a comment… we’d love to hear your thoughts (This video made me cry the first time I listened. Its message is so powerful!)

Here’s how the piano looks put back together, since in the video you get to enjoy a more artistic version of it taken apart to show the keys.

Here’s a video of Brigham telling about all he did to make the piano perform at its best. You’ll get to hear it as well as he plays it for you.

Q-tip Clean!

We spent the first part of our Friday night date working on this piano… I was amazed at the pile of Q-tips on the floor after we finished cleaning and shining up the interior.  Brigham did the exterior touch up on Saturday and is going to do the action work this week.

It was a trade in that we received last week.  We’ll post a video soon.  It’s a 5’4 Black Wurlitzer grand.  It’ll be under $5,000… Brigham hasn’t given me a final price yet.  He always likes to finish all of the regulation, voicing, tuning, cleaning, etc. before he decides on a price.  Watch for a video & price next week…

And the winner is…

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Test the Best-Win a Piano promotion, sponsored by Hailun-USA and Brigham Larson Pianos.

Here are some of the comments we received on the entry forms:

We’ve done a lot of shopping and this is definitely the best value.  We like the sound for the price.  We never expected to find it!!  -Karen Howell of Park City, UT

Hailun has turned over my prejudice toward Chinese built pianos.  It has surpassed my expectations in almost every way.  -Sterling Keyes of Orem, UT

I am really impressed with these pianos.  The tone and action seem too good for the suggested price.  -Mark Schlerf of Provo, UT

In comparison to other pianos the same size, this piano has such a full and rich sound!  It’s beautiful!  -Stephanie Wolfley of Cedar Hills, UT

Very good touch, look and resonance! -Kyler Sullivan of Provo, UT

The fine craftsmanship is impressive!  Not altogether what you expect from China!  My father was a professional pianist who repaired, restored and tuned pianos.  I have a great understanding of workmanship materials and tonal qualities of pianos  and I gave all 5′s!  Warm rich tones, very responsive and a nice flawless finish! -David and Carol Radmall of Pleasant Grove, UT

We are grateful to everyone who took time to visit our store and participate in this drawing!  Now onto the exciting moment….

Free Delivery

We include free delivery (to Utah and SLC counties) with all of our new and like-new piano sales.  Brigham is meticulous about wrapping and caring for pianos during delivery.  Above, you can see him fastening the straps over a mammoth piano moving blanket (there was actually another blanket under that one)!

Once it’s safely in place, you’ll usually get to enjoy a little music by Brigham as well.  It is always such an exciting time to have a piano delivered.  I love to watch the joy of children when a piano is rolled into their home!

To help us protect your piano as much as possible during delivery, we have a few guidelines in regards to moving:

-First floor only, please.  Upon special request we are able to move pianos up or down stairs, but it requires special equipment, so please notify Brigham BEFORE delivery of any stairs.   One or two steps (such as a front porch) are usually not a problem.  Extra fees may be applicable for stair deliveries.

-Tight turns (such as through some hallways) are not always possible.  Call if you have any questions.

-Delivery is possible outside of UT/SLC counties at very reasonable prices.  Call Brigham for a bid on delivery outside of UT/SLC counties.

*For delivery of our refurbished pianos and all other pianos we sell, Brigham has very reasonable rates.  Call for a bid.

*National moving is possible as well!  We are able to arrange delivery anywhere in the US.  Contact us for pricing.

We can also move out your old piano if you are upgrading.  Give us a call to see if our current selection of pianos for sale matches your family’s needs.  801-830-0011

Complete Sales Prep!

Photobucket

Here’s an image I captured while Brigham was prepping a Yamaha for sale.  He spends a lot of time getting his pianos ready.  He tunes, regulates and makes any needed adjustments to have them precision ready for clients.  In addition to his standard prep, he can accommodate requests to adjust touch and tone to meet musical preference.  Brigham doesn’t just un-box and tune his new and reconditioned pianos… he labors over each one until he feels it is “just right” and meets his high standard of excellence!  Come and try them out and tell us what you think.

Prepping the Hailun Grand

(In the photos above, Brigham has removed a Hailun Grand Action from a brand new piano to make regulation and voicing adjustments in addition to the initial tuning.)

Brand new pianos tend to require a significant amount of precision preparation to meet each musicians standards.  Brigham spends all the time necessary on each grand piano to not only tune it to perfection, but to also address tone, regulation, and touch.  Brigham always goes through a complete regulation of the piano, as well as voicing, to match each customers personal preference.  He welcomes all clients to come and play our pianos, but he gets especially excited when a very “picky” or “particular” musician arrives and starts trying the pianos.  His technical expertise further set his pianos apart from a traditional piano sales floor. Your fingers and ears will notice a unique difference.
